About Britt Cooper

Britt Cooper is an Associate Professor of Music and Director of Fine and Performing Arts at Walsh University. He has a M.M. in Choral Conducting from the University of Alabama and a D.M.A. in Choral Conducting from the University of South Carolina.

Dr. Cooper directs three choral ensembles: the Walsh University Chorale, the Walsh University Chamber Singers, and the Canton Symphony Chorus. With the CSC he has prepared Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9, Mahler’s Symphony No. 2, Brahms’s Ein Deutches Requiem, and conducted the Lux Aeterna of Morten Lauridsen.  Through his career, Dr. Cooper has also directed collegiate choirs in Georgia, South Carolina, and Tennessee. He is a member of the American Choral Directors Association) and won Second Place in their National Graduate Conducting Competition in 2003
